Boundary conditions and amplitude ratios for finite-size corrections of a one-dimensional quantum spin model

چکیده
We study the influence of boundary conditions on the finite-size corrections of a one-dimensional (1D) quantum spin model by exact and perturbative theoretic calculations. We obtain two new infinite sets of universal amplitude ratios for the finite-size correction terms of the 1D quantum spin model of N sites with free and antiperiodic boundary conditions. The results for the lowest two orders are in perfect agreement with a perturbative conformal field theory scenario proposed by Cardy [J. Cardy, Nucl. Phys. B 270 (1986) 186]. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. متن کاملCasimir amplitudes in a quantum model with long-range interaction
Abstract. A d-dimensional quantum model system confined to a general hypercubical geometry with linear spatial size L and “temporal size” 1/T ( T temperature of the system) is considered in the spherical approximation under periodic boundary conditions. For a film geometry in different space dimensions 1 2 σ < d < 3 2 σ , where 0 < σ ≤ 2 is a parameter controlling the decay of the long-range in...
متن کاملFinite Size Scaling of the Spin stiffness of the Antiferromagnetic S = 1 2 XXZ chain
We study the finite size scaling of the spin stiffness for the one-dimensional s = 1 2 quantum antiferromagnet as a function of the anisotropy parameter ∆. Previous Bethe ansatz results allow a determination of the stiffness in the thermodynamic limit. The Bethe ansatz equations for finite systems are solvable even in the presence of twisted boundary conditions, a fact we exploit to determine t...
متن کاملTriple Spin Interaction and Entanglement
In quantum theory Hamilton operators with spininteractions have a long history [1 – 5]. Triple spin interaction have been studied by several authors [6 – 19]. Iglói [6] investigated an Ising model with three-spin interaction by finite-size scaling and applying free boundary conditions. Vanderzande and Iglói [7] studied the critical behaviour and logarithmic corrections of a quantum model with t...
متن کاملWave Propagation in Mixture of Generalized Thermoelastic Solids Half-Space
This paper concentrates on the reflection of plane waves in the mixture of generalized thermo elastic solid half-space. There exists quasi dilatational waves i.e. qP1, qP2, qT and two rotational waves S1, S2 in a two dimensional model of the solid. The boundary conditions are solved to obtain a system of five non-homogeneous equations for amplitude ratios. These amplitude ratios are found to de...
